Sin’s Bite and Our Need for an Antidote
Sin is not a minor mistake; it is a deadly poison that infects our souls and leads to death. We often play with it, thinking we can manage its presence, but its consequences are severe and inescapable on our own. Just as a physical venom requires a specific antivenom, our spiritual condition requires a specific cure. We cannot heal ourselves; we need a remedy provided from outside of ourselves.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 ESV)
