Light Breaking Through

The prophecy about the coming Child reminds us that God moves toward humanity in mercy, sending light into places of darkness so our feet can be guided into the way of peace. This is not a distant theological idea but a present invitation: the mercy of God breaks into the ordinary and illuminates paths that were hidden by fear and confusion. You only have to trust God and his plan for your life to find peace.

Luke 1:76-79 (ESV)
And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
What one persistent darkness in your life needs God’s mercy this week, and what concrete first step will you take (a prayer, an honest conversation, a moment of confession) to allow that light to guide your feet toward peace?
