Teammates, Not Competitors

Marriage was never meant to be a battleground where spouses compete for control or recognition. God designed it as a partnership where two people work together toward common goals. When we approach our marriage with a competitive mindset, we create division instead of unity. The beauty of marriage lies in recognizing that your spouse is your greatest ally, not your opponent. Think about the best teams you've witnessed - they succeed because each member plays their role while supporting the others. In marriage, this means celebrating each other's strengths, covering each other's weaknesses, and moving forward together. When challenges arise, instead of pointing fingers or keeping score, we can ask ourselves: 'How can we tackle this together?' This shift in perspective transforms everything. Your spouse becomes someone you confide in, strategize with, and lean on during difficult seasons. Competition breeds resentment, but partnership builds intimacy and trust.
'Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.' - Ephesians 5:21
