The Choice to Be Covered or Face Judgment

The final plague brought a sobering reality: judgment was coming for every household in Egypt. The difference between safety and calamity was solely the applied blood of the lamb. This was a severe mercy, demonstrating that God does not simply overlook sin but provides a way for it to be justly covered. This choice remains today—to trust in the provided Lamb for covering or to risk facing judgment alone. The offer of protection is gracious and free, but it must be personally received.

For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you. (Exodus 12:23 ESV)

The Passover presents a clear binary choice: covered by the blood or exposed to judgment. Have you made the definitive decision to be covered by the blood of Christ, and how does that reality influence your sense of security and purpose each day?
