Salvation and Peace Come by God's Mercy

Peace begins with God’s kindness and compassion, not with human achievement or flawless behavior; it is rooted in the gift of salvation given through mercy rather than earned by works. When the kindness and love of God appeared, the way to peace came wrapped in forgiveness and renewal rather than performance, freeing people to step toward God without proving themselves first. Let this truth displace the lie that peace is obtained by doing better and instead rest in what God has done.
Titus 3:4-5 (ESV)
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
Where have you been trying to earn God’s peace by improving performance or behavior; name one habit you will stop this week and one simple prayer you will speak daily to receive God’s mercy instead.
