Life in the Spirit
There is a difference between saying you believe and actually being indwelt by the Holy Spirit. When Christ lives in you, He not only forgives but begins to transform desires, habits, and responses. If you stumble, don’t quit; run to the Advocate who pleads your case and restores you. Assurance grows not from perfect performance but from a real relationship with Jesus at work within. Move from a statement on your lips to a Savior alive in your heart.
1 John 2:1-2: I’m writing so you won’t sin; but if anyone does, we have a defender—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One—who speaks to the Father for us. He Himself is the sacrifice that deals with our sins, and not ours only, but the sins of the whole world.
