The Body Needs You

Scripture describes the church as the body of Christ, and this isn't merely poetic language. It's a functional reality. Think about the human body for a moment. What happens when you remove a lung? Or a pancreas? Or a heart? The body fails.
Every member of Christ's body has a role that matters. There are no insignificant parts. The gifts vary widely—wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, prophecy, teaching, leadership, administration, serving, encouragement, giving, mercy—but they all draw from the same power source: the Spirit of God.
First Peter 4:10 makes this clear: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
Notice the instruction: use your gift to serve others. Not to build your personal brand. Not to make yourself feel important. But to minister to those around you.
